hey! Haha yeah, great meenimo-ing there banana ((: and what watch crabbie patties? Why didn't u invite me f tt one! ): Hahaha, its great t see one stand firm in the Lord. Oh! Think abt what I said tday on th phone yeah.. Would rly like u t come same sch as me too (:

See you on tuesday ppl!

There! A new blogskin(:

Not too bad i say, considering i used the trusty ole eniminimyneemo method.
I DON'T WANNA STUDYYY.
But after our thurs paper, we can go watch the crabby patties whoooo:D & then it'll be confirmation on sunday! So fast.

Time is really just bolting past (Usain Bolt is AMAZING btw), and all too quickly, our time spent tgt in that little room every sunday is limited. I didnt used to think much of Catechism classes or that the experiences shared would have such an impact on me; on us as a group of youths attending mass sunday after sunday. It had become such a routine event, meeting up. Almost like another school lesson. But now, this weekly gathering in the little room would be disrupted; some of us having to concentrate on O levels, some just being pushed along by the usual waves of activities being thrust our way. But it gives me comfort to know that through this all, we will stay as strong as ever spiritually, supporting each other through prayers and intercessions through our Mother Mary. Looking forward to those "special meeetings" to plan the camp next year(:

Confirmation is truly a huge leap in faith. I pray, with all of my heart and soul, that this would bring our faith to a deeper, more meaningful level, as we are given the strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend our faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross:

Recall then that you have received the spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of right judgment and courage, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear in God's presence. Guard what you have received. God the Father has marked you with his sign; Christ the Lord has confirmed you and has placed his pledge, the Spirit, in your hearts.

Amen.

I cried when he made tt speech.. Somehow, tears made their silent appearance, not thinking twice about rushing swiftly down in one motion; like two tributaries collecting and meeting right at the end.

I cried, because what he said was true.

Every time I went to the hospital, I see you lying there. When you were awake, you never failed to make th effort to sit up to greet us with that smile like we've been the ones you were waiting for the whole century; or even garner the immense strength to stand and pat us each on the shoulder, with the grin and nod to motion that you were fine&never better. When you were sleeping, you still displayed the strength you had in you, despite the war your body was going through, tt went on continuously. Yet still radiating determination. You never gave the silhouette of a man in pain or suffering.

In the last days I saw you, you still fought to show your might. Giving your all to stand, to walk, to breathe on your own. You fought, to flash that smile of yours..
I won't forget the last look you gave me when I stepped out your house. The pain your skin and bones were anchored with; the fainting of the strength in your eyes..

Oh, how kind the Lord is! The last day I saw you, you woke up, just in time for me to say my last goodbye. Praise be to Him! For you did make all of us jump for joy with your decision of salvation. And you proved the might of the Lord, His strength shone so bright in you! You taught me to trust in Jesus for all my life, for in your last year here on earth, you displayed more character than I ever saw in anyone else. Like what pekpek said, you could always smile in the face of death. You said u were all ready for heaven, and I'm sure heaven was very much all the more ready for you, kongkong.

The day I heard about you, all the thoughts of my childhood came.. You sitting by my side while I played fishing..You always got bullied by me, the only one who gave in to me when I wanted to be carried..always occupying that corner of the house where you'd sit silently and soak in all the business of the house.

I rejoice in the name of the Lord! For I know, someday, very soon, we're all gna see you again in heaven. thank you, for teaching me what to do in all my adversity. In my heart, you'll always be that commander you once upon a time was.

Kongkong, I salute to you.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for dying for us, for giving your blood to free us from the chains of eternal death, with the promise of undying love and life that my kongkong is basking in now.
He made me think of how I would like to make my entrance into the world of never ending praise to the King. I've been thinking these weeks. I don't want to die in my sleep. I want to leave this mortal world, in the most glorifying way for Him! To die fighting; to die winning the war in His way. To die with something for others to remember me by. How wondrous that would be! To go home, wearing His armour. Stained with the work of love, bearing the marks to gain the words "Well done, my daughter."

4I after Chem remedial yesterday outside library. We're so colourful right? Haha
4I 2009!!
This is our hip hop dance instructor Miss Sheila in the middle. Our attire: House t plus PE shorts for our last hip hop lesson!

In the hall just before assembly started. We're already in our rainbow attire!!

Hello! Come on, Kat and Tashi, our blog is rotting! Just do a short post before Prelims to liven this up okay?

I want to talk about yesterday's EXPRESS YOURSELF DAY. Haha, unfortunately I only have a few pictures to show you here, just go see my facebook or rizwana's account for more pics...if there are more uploaded?

EYD was really fun. Haha my whole class came to school in house t and PE shorts because we had PE lesson first period, our last hip hop dance lesson. I think many people gave us strange looks because they thought that was our class outft for the day. Of course not! We changed during A Maths second period. What was my class theme? RAINBOW! Haha pretty random but better than our original stereotypes idea. My class has 28 people so every 4 people wore the 7 colours of the rainbow! Except for indigo, which we changed to hot pink. Haha. If you saw me(which I think half the school plus the teachers did when I was on stage), then you would know the colour I wore. Anyway, everyone in my class dressed up which was really cool. Not sure if you all noticed, but we all sat according to our colours in the hall.

I know everyone's gonna comment about our performance in the hall. Okay I'll be the first to admit I forgot my steps halfway(many of my classmates as well) and I just followed Damia on cue. Haha. But just to let you all know, we actually only learnt our steps on the day itself which was...yup on EYD yesterday. We sacrificed recess, double Chem and MT to practise for about 3 hrs or less in the AS1, gym and anywhere free we could find, so that we can perform for you all. It was hot, tiring but so much fun really.

Haha, full credit to Damia and Che Wan of course who choreographed our dance moves and cut the music for us. Oh FYI, the "AH, AH ,AH' song we performed is taken from Sunset Glow by Korean pop group Big Bang. It was amazing that despite all our differences and difficulties faced, we managed to pull together as a class yesterday and work really hard. I think what Damia said yesterday just before we went on stage outside the hall was really true.

She said, "4I, let's not care if nobody cheers for us. We'll cheer for ourselves. Even if we make mistakes, we're still gonna smile and be proud of ourselves because we can show the school and ourselves that 4I is the class that can work miracles and perform a 1 min dance routine in front of the school with less than 3 hrs of practice!"

The first thing my class did when we ran off the stage was to run out of the hall and scream out of embarrassment. Then, we heard the cheers from the hall. It suddenly dawned on us, " wow they're cheering for us!' Haha the dance ended so soon, such a pity really. We didn't get the chance to video our dance routine or ask people to take pics of us onstage because the organising committee only allowed us 1 min of fame after we persuaded them to lets us perform on thurs afternoon. Anyway the song and dance routine is now stuck in my head. Haha what a great way to end our last Cedar EYD eh!

How were both your EYDs then? Looking forward to seeing pics and accounts of your EYD yesterday okay? :D

Hello hello!

It's our one week break and it's almost over and I haven't even done a single piece of homework. Brillant right? I haven't really been practising my Chinese (haha Nat, not sure if my cheena side will really come out for my oral tomorrow, I didn't know I had this hidden cheena side in the first place!).

So, what have I been doing this whole week? Slacking, watching movies, partying at Kat's house on Monday(haha), playing computer games, yup that's what I've been doing. I know I really shouldn't so I promise I won't touch the computer again until after my Chinese oral tomorrow, but even then I need to start on my 2 E Maths, 2 A Maths, 2 Chem papers. Wow. Wish me luck seriously. I only got less than 3 days to complete all these papers, due to my other commitments over the weekend. Great. Someone give me some motivation please!

Oh yeah, yesterday I accidentally stubbed my toe against the hard wooden sides of my sofa and fell over my sofa comically, dropping the box I was carrying like in a America's Funniest Home Videos scene. Except it wasn't that funny of course. My brother was watching tv and he laughed like crazy at me. I just shrugged it off because from time to time I usually stub my toe against the sofa legs(the rest of my family also) but guess what? At night, about 2 hours later, I realised there was still some pain coming from my toe so I looked down and saw this really big black bruise covering the 4th toe of my left foot and my mom says it's a huge blood clot in my toe. Oh man! No wonder it hurt so much. It's really horrible looking, I wanted to take a pic and post it on here but I guess you guys will just be overly freaked out. I'm pretty much limping around the whole place now. My mom says it'll take a few days to go away but she joked that she would take me to the doctor if my toe swelled to the size of an egg! Choy!! Oh man, really hope my blood unclots and flows properly again soon!

Oh another thing. Have you guys watched Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants yet? I've never read the books so I didn't know what to expect when I stumbled on the movie and started watching it. It's an extremely good movie! I totally got hooked on it. I love Lena, Bridget, Tibby and Carmen!! I love Alexis Bledel, Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn and America Ferrera!! They're all so different yet are bonded by the fabulous pants and a sisterly love for each other. Can't really choose my favourite character because they all rock for different reasons!

Lena aka Alexis Bledel because she's really pretty and exotic (well she's supposed to be Greek haha) and a really shy, good-natured girl. Her Greek boyfriend in the show Kostos is so sweet and cute! My favourite guy in the show.
Bridget aka Blake Lively because she's the star athlete and most fearless/courageous girl in the sisterhood, she absolutely LOVES soccer, she went soccer camp, was a soccer coach, plays soccer for Brown Uni, (an Ivy League uni)
Tibby aka Amber Tamblyn because she's just so uber cool and has such a unique style of dressing and has a really nice caring heart underneath that rough couldnt care less exterior.
Carmen aka America Ferrera because of her fiesty spirit and the way she always puts the sisterhood first

So I watched both the first and second Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants movie. They're really good and if you haven't watched them, you really ought to. It's not just a chick flick, it has lots of lessons and meaning, and you can see how the characters develop and grow over the 2 movies. I was so sad when the 2nd movie ended because the pants were gone forever and I guess there won't be any more sequels. Awesome movie though, go catch it online or something alright?

Cheers, gotta go now, gonna read all the Chinese materials I can get my hand on and trust in Jesus to help me do well tomorrow for my oral.

'Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.' Romans 5:5

Amen!

Mandy :)
