gosh i've just read through a lot of emo blogs recently. so excuse me pls if you find that what i'm writing is too emo for you.
in my last post, i said that blogs are not an accurate representation of a person's character or attitude i think. but, i realise people are really good at pretending. you see them at school, they are a certain type of person. then you read their blogs, and you're like WOAHHH this person can actually feel this way or something like that. you know, some people make it seem like they breeze through life without any problems. is that actually true huh? of course not! we all have problems what. so why do people need to pretend? why do people need to put down others just so they feel good about themselves?
only one word for these people: hypocrites. everybody can become a hypocrite at any time. it's actually a chain reaction. WHY? it's because others do it first to them. just like why do people become mean and selfish. because others did it first. you can read a classic example in jodi piccoult's ( did i spell her name right?) nineteen minutes. it contains all the answers for people who were first horrible to another person and then later something big and unexpected happens usually due to the other person, and the same first person turns around and asks, " How could that have happened?" really ironic la.
anyway i just wish that people would stop thinking they are the best people in the world and then go around critisizing others on what they did or didn't do. like hello? you think you know the other person so well, the truth is you don't know and you don't give a shit about them either. you're not even their family, whatever they do in their life is truly none of your business. if people need your help, they can jolly well ask it from you! stop giving critical comments, people don't want or need it. and pls stop pretending to be someone you're not.
mark twain once said, 'if you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.' similarly, if you're yourself all the time, you don't have to act and pretend and feel all lousy and low in confidence because deep down inside, you know people are liking you for the right reasons. and you don't have to scared that they'll ever look through your mask and see you for who you are, because you're always being youself. so please, if people like you, it's because they truly like you for who you are, not who you TRY TO BE.
